Rebuild the Internet

When I think about the internet, I think about how it allows us to connect with one another whether we are close by or countries away, For my rebuild the internet project, I wanted to explore the interconnectedness of the internet and the complexity behind it. To try and show that, I sketched the world and then overlapped lines between each country. One person's connectedness does not feel like a lot but once you think about the billions of people that use the internet daily, then it starts to feel overwhelming. As I was drawing the lines on top of the map, the world started to blur as each line was added. I felt like that represented the way we have let the internet take control of our lives and our individual “world”.
